Released on the 9th of June 2023, the Award for Inspiring Young Europeans of the ecosystem IYE. The main network of civic engagement for young people in Europe, which is made up of 19 organizations that inform, sensitize and engage young europeans around the promotion of a sustainable European citizenship.

In September of 2023 began the program ‘District Spot’, which focuses on girls and young women 10 to 24 years in the district 19 in Paris. The project will continue to develop until September 2024, and has the implementation of socio-sports sessions for girls so that they can be able to enroll safely in the public sport spaces as its main line of action. At the same time the program also promote healthy lifestyle habits that will improve the sense of belonging to their environment. Furthermore, the project supports 4 young leaders; Bamby, Danielle, Jade and Salma. The idea is to train them in the socio-sport methodology of Futbol Mas, and lead the sessions, and the coordination of the group of participants.

Funded by the Olympic Committee of the Netherlands, the City of Paris and the Lukas Podolski Foundation, the project began with 43 beneficiaries who have been a part of nearly 30 socio-sports sessions in 44 hours of physical activity.

Due to this work, impact and power , the Foundation Hippocrène acknowledged the results that the program District Spot has had and gave Futbol Mas the award for ‘Inspiring Young Europeans’. “It is an honor to receive this award that represents a great work done by the youth leaders. For 18 years, this is the first time that they receive an assessment of these characteristics, and thus represents a great success for them and for our team,” says Claire Seang, executive director of Futbol Mas France.

For Futbol Mas, this award is very important for several reasons. The first is that it allows the development of new socio-sporting sessions during the project, as well as adding new girls to the almost 80 girls who now participate on a regular basis. The second reason is that this award opens the doors to Europe, thanks to the fact that the Hippocrène Foundation and its ecosystem aim to enable girls living in similar contexts of difficult access to sport to create links with girls from other European countries.

“This milestone gives us the confidence to develop the project at different levels, both nationally and within Europe, given the context of social inheritance that the Olympic Games will bring when taking place between July and August. In addition to benefit from the enthusiasm that the public has shown us since the beginning of District Spot" , concludes Claire.

Football France est reconnue par la Fondation Hippocrène avec le prix ‘Inspiring Young Europeans’ pour son projet District Spot

Financé par le Comité olympique des Pays-Bas, la Ville de Paris et la Fondation Lukas Podolski, le projet a débuté avec 43 bénéficiaires ayant participated à près de 30 sessions sociosportives pour a total of 44 heures d activité physique.

Ce prix est très important pour Football pour différentes raisons. Premièrement, il allows you to développer de nouvelles sessions socio-sportives dans le cadre du projet, ainsi which rencontrer de nouvelles filles, lesquelles forment a groupe de près de 80 participants. Deuxièmement, ce prix ouvre les portes de l'europe, grâce à l'objectif de la Fondation Hippocrène et de son écosystème de permettre aux filles vivant dans des contextes similaires d accès difficile au sport de créer des liens avec des filles d'autres pays européens.
