Closure of 'Más que Campeonas' in Seville brought together more than 30 children and their families on an unforgettable day of sport and community
Seville, July 24, 2025 – While Europe rang with the outcome of the UEFA Women's EURO 2025, in the sevillian district of Amate more than 50 people held their own championship: to be part of the project Más que Campeonas, an initiative that is transforming the access to sport for girls in contexts of vulnerability in Madrid and Andalusia.
The closing event of the summer campus, held in the Centro Deportivo Amate IMD, was much more than a closing. He lived as a true celebration of community, in which girls, families, and the professional player Real Betis Balompié, Marina Sanchez, shared an afternoon of football and game, creating links that remain in the memory. The day included friendly matches, dynamics of the team, mentoring athletes invited to attend, and a great final circle full of emotion.
The presence of Silvia Pit, councilor for Sports of the City of Seville, stressed the value of the institutional commitment to inclusive sports. The minister shared the last few minutes of the tournament with the girls and heard first-hand their learning, dreams and experiences after weeks of campus.



A project with social glance and community
Más que Campeonas it is a project driven by Fútbol Más and FutboLISTASwith the support of the UEFA Foundation for Children, adidas Foundation, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), and the collaboration of the Foundation Real Betis Balompié, which aims to ensure the right to the game and the sport of children and adolescents between 8 and 16 years, promoting their emotional well-being, the development of life skills and the generation of significant links.
This edition of the campus is framed within the program Legacy for the Future the UEFA Women's EURO by 2025, and has become a real platform for girls of slums in a situation of vulnerability to access to the sport with the same opportunities and dreams that any other girl.
The spirit of Más que Campeonas still more alive than ever: to build a future in which all girls can play, feel accompanied and grow in equality. From September, the project will continue with weekly training sessions and community activities in four districts of Madrid and Seville, consolidating its impact throughout the course 2025/26.
