More than a thousand women participating in the program, "Ellas Tiene el Balón" by Club Tigres, in collaboration with Fútbol Más
The last week of August saw the initiation of the program "Ellas Tienen el Balón" by Club Tigres, with the participation of 100 teams of young people aged 13 to 17 years from all corners of Mexico and has the objective of to boost the development of football teams for women in vulnerable communities all over Mexicoto foster your physical, psychological and social in order for them to become an 'Amazon' and leaders in their community. The participants have access to online course to get training exclusive with a curriculum that was in charge of Fútbol Más.
The first edition -2022 - represented a big challenge, as it took place in a context postpandemic. The main objective was that the participants will find in the football a tool to empower themselves, to express their emotions, and strengthen their confidence. For this new edition will be incorporated into new topics, expanded the geographic ranges to reach out to more states and led to the formation of teams that were born from the program itself. In addition, it works in a more comprehensive manner, involving families and coaches, and to strengthen the processes of evaluation to ensure a more profound impact, and sustainable.
For Marisol Rodriguez, Leader of the Social Impact Club Tigres, the objective is to use football as a tool of Social transformation and provide access to the sport to hundreds of young women in Mexico, providing tools futbolisticas and also skills for life.
"In Tigres we like to inspire you through the soccer field. And we want everyone to have access to the game, to society and to the strengthening of character. We want to be pioneers in the Mexican League so that there are more programs that drive women's soccer with values".

The design of the mesh and the manual on which you will work the participants, was in charge of Ariana Perez, coordinator methodological of Fútbol Más Mexico, who already participated in the first version of the program launched in 2022.
What is the approach from the methodology of Fútbol Más was used in the curriculum?
-Departed from the approach of resilience applied to the sport, looking for the players to strengthen from what they are, what they live and what they do, using football as a tool to talk about gender, rights, mental health, leadership, and many other things that help them grow as people and as a team. All in a playful manner, close and intended for that to be recognized as the protagonists, both inside and outside of their fields.
How will the work with the teams from here on out?
-In this first phase we will work in a virtual way with 100 teams. The players will have 9 sessions synchronous and asynchronous, where we will address issues that strengthen your identity, ties, sports skills, and personal. We want you to feel part of a national network of support, where people share experiences and grow together.
We will also have Challenges of Blue and Green Cards that will help you visualize your progress and reflect on their processes. In parallel, She Wins will work with families and coaches to strengthen the impact from home and from the pitch. In addition, there will be webinars, open with content experts and experts who have collaborated with the club. In the second stage, the 12 teams committed to participate in the Blitz Tournament in Monterrey, a meeting socio-sports that seeks to resignify the competition and celebrate the cohesion.
What you would like the program to let in the girls that are involved?
-You will leave feeling free, strong, and accompanied, you might discover that there are no limits to their dreams and that they will always have a network that promotes, understanding how powerful you can be the soccer.
What value do you give to a club like Tigres promote this kind of programs, and why is it so relevant?
-It is very powerful, that a club such as Tigres rely on this type of project that transforms realities and above all that you are recognizing your impact beyond the stadium, breaking paradigms and bringing the football women's communities where it seemed unattainable, and that by engaging the players and different expert women, inspire, and motivate, in such a way that the club through this program it is giving the ball, literally and symbolically, to many women that they did not know that you also could play or you could go further.
The program will take place during the months of August, September and October, ending with a blitz tournament where 12 teams will have the chance to take to the pitch all the learning acquired, and share the experience of "Ellas Tienen el Balón". For Fútbol Más Mexico, it is an honor to be a part of this program as the Foundation, seeks to be a contribution in the equality of access to sport and mobilize girls and young people through football.
