In the heart of Nairobi, F\u00fatbol M\u00e1s Kenya hosted a moving and inspiring gathering with the 2025 cohort of The Global Good Fund Fellows\u2014leaders from around the world including India, North Macedonia, Brazil, Rwanda, Mozambique, Colombia, the Philippines, the United States, etc. The Global Good Fund<\/a> from different corners of the world, including India, Macedonia, Brazil, Rwanda, Mozambique, Colombia, Philippines, and united States among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit took place as part of the annual convening of the The Global Good Fund, held this year in Kenya, where V\u00edctor Guti\u00e9rrez\u2014co-founder of F\u00fatbol M\u00e1s and a Fellow of the organization\u2014participated alongside the international delegation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Led by Carrie Rich, Co-Founder and CEO of the The Global Good Fund, the delegation was welcomed at F\u00fatbol M\u00e1s offices in Mathare by Sam Musembi, Executive Director of F\u00fatbol M\u00e1s Kenya. During the visit, the Fellows learned in depth about the organization's history in the country and its fully community-driven methodology, which has already reached over 25,000 children and youth across Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most powerful moments of the day was a visit to the community field at Austin Fields, where children and adolescents shared their personal experiences and learnings through sport and the Green Card methodology. The day concluded with a symbolic exchange of bracelets between neighborhood participants and Fellows\u2014a heartfelt gesture of intercultural connection and mutual respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrie Rich shared her impressions of the visit to Kenya and reflected on V\u00edctor\u2019s role,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re so proud of the growth and global impact of F\u00fatbol M\u00e1s. It is especially inspiring to have witnessed the leadership development of its co-founder, V\u00edctor. We\u2019ve watched his leadership development over the past decade, along with the resulting impact of F\u00fatbol M\u00e1s. V\u00edctor is the epitome of The Global Good Fund's mission and work. It\u2019s a true honor to have played a small role in V\u00edctor\u2019s leadership journey and in the growth of F\u00fatbol M\u00e1s over time.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The delegation also visited the Zaidi Ya Michezo<\/em>, an initiative led by young leaders from the F\u00fatbol M\u00e1s program. This youth-driven project focuses on repurposing plastic waste into usable products and was especially appreciated by the visitors for its emphasis on sustainability and youth empowerment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
