Fútbol Más wins the WFS Industry Awards 2018
As a finalist among more that 120 candidates from 23 countries, Fútbol Más remained with a prize in the World Football Summit 2018 in the “Best Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative (RSC) in Football” category, in the ceremony held in Madrid, Spain.
Thanks to the social responsibility and compromise with communities of the world, Fútbol Más was recognized among the the nominations for their mission to promote the wellbeing of girls, boys and teens from different locations, strengthening processes of resilience, significant links, and community cohesion through games and sports.
The executive director of Fútbol Más in France, Augustín Giménez, traveled to Madrid to participate in the ceremony, commenting that: “For us it is extremely important to receive this award from the football industry, stressing the athletic and social commitment that we have with the different actors. Fútbol Más represents the social gaze in this meeting, and is the space through which football can reach the most excluded corners of the world, thanks to the methodological adaptability of our socio-sport program”.
The WFS Industry Awards recognize and award the work realized by professionals in the football industry, those who in their day to day after 90 minutes of playing the game make this sport of entertainment a real economic motor. This event honors the achievements of the leading football club managers, agencies, sponsors, press, associations and NGOs at the global level who work in the king sport industry. With a panel of illustrious jurors selected for their experience and comprehensive knowledge of the industry, the WFS Industry Awards are an important networking event bound to the annual congress of the World Football Summit.
Before this event, different faces from international football met to share and debate different topics associated with the sports industry such as technology, broadcasting, financing, and social responsibility, among others, with the goal to promote development of football at the global level. Fútbol Más is the only independent organization to win this important international award.
