Fútbol Más Foundation and Skatearte Pudahuel Youth Center come together to benefit SENAME children
Fútbol Más with the Skatearte Pudahuel Youth Center signed an agreement for the realization of activities for children and young people of the Sename. The activity was carried out in the skatepark a few steps from the municipality of the municipality, which integrates a new sport to the values that the foundation delivers. This time was a skateboard, instead of a ball.
Teacher, teacher! How much left? – asked the teens of the Center for Specialized Repair of Direct Administration (CREAD) of Pudahuel, eager for the start of the socio-sporting event in the Pudahuel district. Once in the skatepark of the streets Los Ediles with El Cobre, the participants of the event set out in a circle to start the classes that would be given by the tutors who would teach the techniques to improve in skateboarding. Meanwhile, one of the boys said a scribble aloud, being rebuked on good terms by the rest to prevent the class from ending.
Fourteen teenagers participated in the second activity carried out by Fundación Fútbol Más and Skatearte Pudahuel Youth Center. In the event, both organizations signed an agreement to offer activities with sports and social objectives in search of resilience processes for the young people of the place. One of the boys, dressed in a blue shirt and with a short of the club of his loves, University of Chile, practiced on a skateboard in the grass to be able to maintain the balance.
Teacher, look how I fall! – Said the child laughing while trying to stay on the board.
“The event consisted of being able to take the boys out, socialize with them and each other, giving them some entertainment time. At the same time, teaching them what is the sport and the culture of skateboarding “, assured Andrés Aravena, president of the Pudahuel Skatepark Youth Center. Once the class was finished, it was time for the delivery of Green Cards. Teachers and young people took time to thank those who had helped them. “I give him my Green Card, because he fell, we laughed. He taught me, I taught him and we had a good time, “said one of the boys to one of his classmates. “Above the skate you have to have perseverance because in the skate you learn by falling down,” said another.
Some of the participants of the activities, had already done them with the foundation, but with the difference that it was the second time they did it on a skateboard, instead of a football. They realized that sport in general is a very useful tool to influence the development of girls, boys and young people.
When asked about the activities that are taking place in the skatepark, Maria Eugenia Vergara, nurse and in charge of one of the children of CREAD, said: “These projects are very welcomed because they like it, the teachers who also come are young people, then they are reflected in them. They feel understoo”.
María Eugenia also added: “First of all it is to get out of the habitual routine, to leave the physical space, more in itself the confinement that they have. But, above all, face challenges here with the Tutors who teach them learning techniques manage themselves and it is super important for them because they see achievements. In addition, they have fun, at the same time it is something playful but they also face their limitations and how to overcome them “.
The signing of the agreement
The signing of the document is the end of the process which begins with the presentation of the organizations, the offering of spaces where they can join forces and work for a common goal. Co-build plans around the Fútbol Más methodology and the structure of the sports session that the center has, which ends with the execution of the joint activities and the union materializes through the lifting of said document being a solemn and significant milestone for both organizations that come together for a purpose in protecting children.
The expectations that they have from the Skatearte Pudahuel Juvenile Center are, first of all, to achieve a good participation with the children, in addition to joining even more as a working group. The group has been working with children for many years. Everything they do, they say doing it by vocation, for love of art. “For us this signature is important because it is a good deal, since we will have more support. It is a beautiful instance of participation that helps us to learn working with children of CREAD, “said Andrés Aravena.
“The agreement is a document that accounts for the joint working alliance between both organizations under the same objective, work for children and the delivery of values and resilience through sports and the analogy of life that is generated within those spaces. This comes to seal an alliance, to concretize the union between organizations, which is a symbol of union for childhood “, concludes Natalia Yáñez, head of the SENAME residence project.
